Hey, I’m Kellyn.

Owner, LMT, CST, Childbirth Educator

My first and most important gig is being Mother to my three beautiful children who keep me busy as I strive to make my home a place of warmth and welcome. My children are tiny little wildling explorers - just like children are suppose to be. When I’m not at a birth I am probably running, riding my bike, doing yoga, working in my garden or baking sourdough bread. I could talk your ear off about true crime podcasts or books on trauma.

My love for birth and calling to doula work came during my first pregnancy in 2018. My approach to doula work has always been rooted in the fact that I believe everyone should have access to unbiased information and continuous support. A few years into doula work I became a licensed massage therapist and it gave me the opportunity to serve families in a deeper capacity. I am passionate about providing holistic bodywork to make pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum easier. In 2021 I became a craniosacral therapist and focused on helping babies with facial release.

Regardless of the issues you are facing, bodywork offers a nurturing approach to help the body heal and re-adjust after the transformative experience of childbirth for both phyisical recovery and emotional balance.

In all stages of pregnancy, in all four trimesters, I am here to support you and your family physically, emotionally and informationally.

Hey, I’m Caroline.

Birth and Postpartum Doula

I have been passionate about birth work since I was seventeen years old when I attended my cousin’s birth. I will never forget the intense feeling of being drawn to this work as I supported her during each contraction. Many years later I had the opportunity to pursue my passion and become a doula. Each and every time I attend a birth, I am amazed and inspired by my clients and their families.

As a birth doula, I provide unbiased guidance and hands on comfort measures during each stage of labor, birth and postpartum. I aim to provide holistic spiritual support by utilizing breathwork, meditation and singing bowls for my clients. I love supporting postpartum families with meal prepping, home cleaning (sweeping, taking trash out, washing dishes, playing with older siblings, etc). I can also assist families with resources for any services needed after birth that I cannot directly provide for them such as mental health support, lactation support, pelvic therapy and so on.

In my free time I enjoy discovering new music and being outdoors! I am passionate about animals and, am currently caring for the sweet stray cats near my apartment :). I am passionate about psychology and I love to learn about my own habits and behaviors and how best to improve them in order to reach my goals.

    Kellyn is AMAZING.

She has attended the births for both of my babies. With my first, I labored for 3 days before delivering via c-section. It was a very emotional and trying experience that did not go anything like my husband and I had planned. Kellyn stayed with us and was a voice of calm encouragement. She made sure we were settled in our room and emotionally okay before leaving. She brought such an amazing energy to our hard labor it was a no brainer we wanted her at our second.

We wanted desperately to have a vbac with our second baby. Kellyn was so helpful and encouraging as we prepared for the arrival of our second baby. Even though I had labored for so long with my first, I did not experience the intensity of transitioning into the latter stages of labor. Having Kellyn there to talk me through the new and intense sensations of the late stages of labor and actually pushing baby out was invaluable. While my husband was also a crucial source of support through the whole of labor, having someone more experienced and familiar with each stage and the sensations that accompanied them was more helpful than I can express. When it felt impossible to keep going and mine and my husband's minds couldn't think beyond those moments, Kellyn was able to remind me of the affirmations I had written down for myself and help ease me back to my calm center. She was also able to guide me to try new positions and movements to help get baby in the optimal position for delivery. In the end we had a successful, smooth, and relatively quick vbac! I really believe Kellyn's suggestions to try various positions and ability to stay calm and collected as she guided us through the unfamiliar parts of labor contributed to how great this experience was.

    11/10 would have her again!

"I cannot recommend Kellyn enough! My husband and I recently worked with Kellyn for our birth and I truly do not know if I would have been able to make it through the natural birth process without her. Her support and encouragement were essential in the hard moments when it would have been easy to give up.

We had two prenatal sessions where we prepared and talked through the birth, she helped with our birth plan, and she was always available for me to text her with any questions from the moment we started working together.

During the actual birth itself she was extremely intuitive, attentive, and helpful with managing my pain. She was always by my side encouraging me or physically positioning or helping me to manage pain throughout the contractions. When I would come to a "breaking point" of sorts, she would talk me through it- encouraging me and telling me how much time I had left, what to expect next, etc. While having your partner by your side for comfort is essential, I found having a doula who has been through the process many times and knows what to expect was essential for keeping me in the right frame of mind.

Kellyn stayed with me after the birth talking me through everything that happens after baby. When most people's attention shifts directly to baby, I loved this aspect. She also recently came for our postpartum visit where we talked through breastfeeding troubleshooting, my recovery, adjusting to home, and other postpartum things.

As a first time mom attempting a natural birth, I would highly recommend Kellyn as a doula (although I believe whatever kind of birth you have a doula is SO helpful). She was professional, kind, compassionate, and strong when I needed the push. "

"Kellyn was my labor doula for the birth of my daughter on July 1st, 2019. This was our first child and I tried my best to educate myself before delivery. Kellyn was such a blessing in my 3rd trimester educating my husband and myself on what to expect during labor (even letting me borrow her book). It was my goal to have my daughter without medication and she provided several natural ways of coping with pain, guided me in self reflection, and gave my husband advice on how to deal/help with my pain.

I can't express what a calming, yet energetic person Kellyn is. She projected confidence and encouraged me in achieving my goals during the intense pain of transition and pushing. She stayed with our new family of three for hours after delivery to help me with nursing and answer our endless questions about our newborn. Kellyn checked in with me via text for the first couple of weeks and we had a post-partum checkup a week after Sawyer was born.

I absolutely recommend Kellyn as a labor doula!"

"When my husband and I first started to plan our birth, a doula was something we questioned if we really needed. We both agree now hiring Kellyn was one of the best decisions we made in planning for our birth. We had already taken a birth class before we met her, but she walked us through our plans together and helped us think of things that we wouldn’t have known to prepare for otherwise. She is a calm yet confident presence who helped me remember I have all that I need for birthing my baby. I am so thankful for the support we had, and attribute that as a large part of why I was able to have the positive, unmedicated birth I had envisioned. Having her support before, during, and after our birth gave us confidence and eased our anxiety especially as first time parents."

"Kellyn was a huge blessing for my wife and I during our entire pregnancy and the birthing process. She has continued to be a blessing now to our entire family since we had our baby in May of this year! Kellyn is incredibly talented at what she does. Her ability to care for tangible needs of my wife allowed me, as the husband, to focus on her in ways I knew she needed, but didn't always know to ask for. Kellyn is extremely knowledgeable in her field, provides great information, coached both me and my wife, and does all with graciousness and love. We would absolutely recommend Kellyn to anyone who asks, and will joyfully be using her services for any babies we have in the future. GO KELLYN!"

"My husband and I hired Kellyn for the birth of our child in sept 2020. We were unsure about utilizing a doula initially until we met with Kellyn, and we both knew we had to hire her! From her prenatal appointments, the birth day, and postpartum, Kellyn was an immense source of information, help, support, and encouragement. Because our birth was a VBAC I felt so confident in Kellyn because she was also a VBAC certified doula! We cannot say enough good things about her and our experience with her! She was there every step of the way and provided nothing but support and help in any way you could want as a birthing mom. Not only did she help me, but my husband was so thankful to have her there as well to coach him through the process as this was new to him as well. We cannot wait for the next time we are able to bring her into such an amazing experience of birthing a baby!"
