Though I will never make decisions for you - I will provide the information YOU need to make the best choices for YOUR growing family.

I DON’T CARE HOW YOUR BIRTH UNFOLDS, I CARE THAT YOU FELT EMPOWERED…

As an independent and self-employed doula, my services are geared toward empowering YOU - I don’t work for your hospital or your provider. When you invite me onto your team, you can trust that I will provide friendship & comfort in the intimate space of birth. You will always be the one that makes the decisions. Part of our prenatal care will be centered around how to speak with your provider about your wishes for your birth so you can walk into your birthing time with confidence.

  • No. A doula is a non-medical professional committed to supporting you during your pregnancy and birthing process. We will offer guidance but we will never make medical decisions for you. Think of it this way — a midwife is for everything waist down, and a doula is for everything waist up

  • No way! One of our goals is to help your birth partner learn the best ways to support you - physically and mentally during your birthing time. Your partner knows you better than anyone, so they will be one of our biggest assets! We will be there to inform and coach both you and your partner; together we will make a successful team.

  • Your birth is YOUR birth. During our meetings leading up to labor, we will talk about a birth plan and preferences and if that includes an epidural — great! We’ll help you understand the risks and benefits of the topics we discuss. We will never try to convince you that you need or don’t need any type of intervention. On the flip side of that, if an unmedicated birth is a goal for you, we will encourage you and remind you of the hopes you have for bringing your baby into the world. Again, we believe that your birth is YOUR birth and we are committed to supporting you — whatever that looks like.
